Welcome to BSSA

The Business Skills for South Africa (BSSA) Foundation is a non-profit, educational trust established in 1994 by PwC and the National Industrial Chamber (NIC).

BSSA's mission is to provide business skills training for the benefit of the full range of SMMEs in SA, and to create sustainable jobs and increase wealth through the transfer of practical business skills.

The three market segments BSSA focuses on are:

  • owner-managers of enterprises of various sizes and development;
  • business advisers to SMME’s; and
  • professional staff, including managers of SMME support organisations.
To date, more than 30 000 SMME participants have completed modules of the BSSA programme for owner-managers, and 2 000 advisers and professional staff have participated in business adviser training.
