Mentorship

Although mentorship is not BSSA’s main focus, BSSA was for a number of years contracted by the Banking Council to administer its Sizanane mentorship programme on its behalf. In this scheme an SMME obtaining a so-called Sizanani loan from any of the commercial banks was supported for two years by an experienced business mentor. BSSA did quality control as well as administering the scheme.

BSSA also, when required, offers aftercare and group counselling to strengthen its training interventions.
