BSSA trains Seda business advisers

BSSA was again contracted to train the business advisers and information officers of the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda). In October and November 2011, 15 learners completed two of BSSA’s PROCESS programme modules – technical analysis and financial analysis.

Topics covered in the technical analysis module included aspects to be considered in the technical appraisal of a project, assessment of the appropriateness of a proposed technology, the environmental impact of production technologies and identifying relevant cost elements.

In the financial analysis module learners looked at the concept of working capital, fixed and variable costs, and how to calculate the break-even point of a business.
